Providing Health Care to Refugee, Immigrant and Migrant Populations
McGill Summer Institutes in Global Health, June 17-19, 2026

Dr. Annalee Coakley and Dr. Gabriel Fabreau are among the faculty for McGill University's returning course on healthcare for refugee, immigrant, and migrant populations, offered as part of the McGill Summer Institutes in Global Health in Montreal.

The three-day hybrid course, running June 17-19, provides clinicians, public health practitioners, and policymakers with a comprehensive overview of priority health issues facing migrant populations, including infectious and non-communicable diseases, mental health, women's and pediatric health, and the social determinants that shape access to care. The curriculum combines expert lectures, clinical vignettes, and panel discussions, drawing on faculty from institutions across Canada, the United States, and Europe.

The course is accredited for up to 19.5 MOC Section 1 credits through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and is open to both in-person and online participants.
