Meet Recens

An AI-powered platform for analyzing multilingual health policy documents at scale.

Born out of real-world need

Recens was developed to support the WHO World Report on Migration, Health, and Climate Change, where the team needed to analyze National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) and Health National Adaptation Plans (HNAPs) across dozens of countries and languages. Traditional coding workflows were too slow; Recens was built to make rigorous, multilingual policy analysis possible at scale.

One platform. Every step of the workflow.

  • Converts policy documents (PDF, scanned text) into structured, searchable text.
  • Automatic translation across five languages.
  • Collaborative coding with inter-rater reliability calculation.
  • Codebook versioning and change history.
  • Visualizations including frequency charts and Sankey diagrams.
  • Export-ready formats for peer review and publication.
